What are Lithium-ion Batteries?

Lithium-ion batteries are rechargeable batteries that are mostly used in consumer electronics. Compared to the thin lithium batteries, these make use of an intercalated lithium compound in place of metallic lithium that is used as its electrode. Cell phones, iPods, Laptops, are some of the devices which make use of such batteries.  The lifespan of such batteries is 300 to 500 charge/discharge and even the Li-ion battery manufacturers alert the same details about the product.

The battery life of the device is precious because we live in the technology age and mobility is the essence of life. Hence users heavily depend on such products and the battery life of the devices needs to be good to sustain connectivity through the day. The rate of dependency on the devices is increasing by the day. Even Lithium battery pack manufacturers recommend a few points for the maintenance and increase of battery life:

  • It is a great idea to keep the batteries at room temperature:

High temperatures can pull down the life of LIB. Hence it is a perfect idea to keep the batteries in an environment with a temperature of around 20-25 degrees. Heat is one of the biggest enemies of battery life. It can drain the life of the battery. The users should be aware of this simple tip so that they can ensure that the battery life is extended and their gadgets can run smoothly.

  • Get a lithium-ion battery with high-capacity

Batteries get deteriorated with the passage of time. It has nothing to do with the fact of whether they are used or not. Hence having a spare battery will not make much sense as it will not last any longer than the one in use. While purchasing batteries ensure that the one with a recent manufacturing date is taken. Such batteries are easily available in both the online and offline stores. This can provide good information about the product and the buyers can easily buy the product from Li-ion Battery Pack Manufacturers.

  • Complete discharge of the lithium-ion battery should be avoided

Do not wait for the complete discharge of the battery. It is better to recharge the moment it shows a dip below 2.5 volts per cell. Deeply discharged batteries should not be charged. It is better to replace such a battery.

It is a good idea to charge the battery whenever possible.  It is not necessary to charge the entire way up or allow discharging the entire way down. Charging the battery whenever possible is one of the best ways to ensure that the battery is in optimum condition.

We live in the age of technology and dependency on gadgets is very high. Hence the smooth operations of the devices are a must for the users. It is essential to have the Li-ion Cell Manufacturers In India

so that the devices run in a smooth fashion. Lithium-ion batteries can be maintained with the help of the above-mentioned tips and the users will experience a marked difference in the performance of the same if they adhere to the same.
